Master’s degree in Physics (Dipl.-Phys.) from the University of Heidelberg with a focus on spectrometry, high vacuum technology, construction of measuring instruments, electronics, programming, surface physics, radio chemistry, physics of the atmosphere.

Legal Background:
From 1995 to 2013 active in the intellectual property area, employed in the intellectual property department of Alcatel, later Alcatel Lucent including the famous Bell Labs.
1999 admitted as European Patent Attorney. 2004 German patent attorney exam and admission as German Patentanwalt. 2007 Master of Laws in European intellectual property laws from the University of Hagen. 2023 admission as a UPC Representative to the Unified Patent Court (UPC).

Areas of Activity:
All areas of industrial property; prosecution, defense and assertion of property rights (patents, utility models, trademarks, design patents); strategic consultation, litigation, and related legal disputes; employed inventor issues.
Primary areas of technological expertise: Telecommunications, electronics, optics, computer implemented inventions (software), physical technology, measurement engineering.
