SSL Encryption

This website is using SSL encryption for the sake of security and protection of confidential contents transfers, such as inquiries that you make to us as the site operator. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transfer to us cannot be read along by third parties. 3. Which data are subject to processing?

3.1 Access data

Each time you access our website, the following data about your computer is logged:

  • IP address of the accessing computer (for a maximum of 7 days)
  • Operating system of the accessing computer
  • Browser version of the accessing computer
  • Name of the file retrieved
  • Date and time of retrieval
  • The amount of data transferred
  • Reference URL

We are using the above-mentioned data only for the purpose of operating our website, particularly for detecting and fixing errors, for determining the utilization rate and to make adjustments and improvements (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

The IP address will be deleted no later than after 7 days from all systems used in connection with the operation of this website.

3.2 Cookies

We intentionally refrained from using all cookies that are not technically essential for the operation of our website. The cookies mentioned below are set by WPML, the plugin for multilingualism of our website and used on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR:

4. Voluntary Information

To the extent that you provide us with data in connection with the clarification of a certain request, your data will be stored, processed and erased according to their purpose. We will not transfer such data to any third parties without authorization.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1) a GDPR. Erasure of such data will take place two months after your request has been dealt with and settled.

5. Use of your data in case of a job application by e-mail

We invite you to send us your job application by e-mail. The personal data that are transferred to us will be processed and recorded only for the purpose of managing the application procedure. Should your application result in a work contract, these data will be stored for the purpose of managing the employment according to Art. 88 GDPR. Should your job application not result in a work contract, your application documents will be erased within two months from the communication of our decision of refusal to you, unless such erasure is impossible due to any other legitimate interests.

7. Range measurement & analysis

An analysis of the volume of visitors to our site, e.g. with Google Analytics, does not take place.

However, we are using the software “matomo” (www.matomo.org) on this website, a service provided by InnoCraft Ltd., 150 Willis St. 6011 Wellington, New Zealand. The software sets a cookie (text file) on your computer, by which your browser can be recognized. If subpages of our website are called, the following data are stored:

– the IP address of the user, shortened by the last two bytes (anonymized)
– the called subpage and the time of the call
– the page, from which the user has reached our website (referrer)
– which browser is being used with which plugins, operating system and screen resolution
– the time spent on our website
– the pages that are accessed from the called subpage

The data collected by matomo are stored on the servers of MIT4u. Transfers to third parties do not take place. We have concluded a contract on data processing according to Art. 28 GDPR with MIT4u.

We are using the data collected by matomo only for the range analysis of our website. The legal basis for such data collection is section 9 of the German Federal Act on the Regulation of Data Protection and Privacy in Telecommunications and Telemedia (“TTDSG”).

This website contains links to external pages. Please be aware that a click on such links may trigger registration of your IP address in the protocol of the website you call upon. This privacy policy, however, is valid for this website only and not for websites of any third parties.
